Happy wild dog puppy news!

It is the time of the year that we at Limpopo-Lipadi are eagerly anticipating the appearance of a new litter of wild dog pups. If all goes well, the pups are usually born somewhere in June and will come out in the open the second half of August. And yes, this year was no different: our camera traps showed the pups frolicking and goofing around the den, and not much later the Anti-Poaching Unit and our guides found them playing on the road. So far 8 or 9 pups were counted, hopefully many will survive their first year. As soon as the wild dogs vacated the den a couple of days ago, the camera trap showed a new tenant on the doorstep, a brown hyena. The predator real estate market at Limpopo-Lipadi is very active, and boroughs and dens are in high demand, so it seems! If you would like to be a part of our conservation efforts, do call on us.
