A Presidential Encounter for Motse and Limpopo-Lipadi

Last Friday and Saturday, representatives from Limpopo-Lipadi management and the Motse Committee had the honour of attending two significant events, following an invitation extended through the Bobirwa Council Chair. The first was held at Moletemane Primary School on Friday, and the second on Saturday was the opening event of Shaturia Manor at our ‘neighbours’ from Lotsane Safaris. There we had the opportunity to meet the Honourable President of Botswana, Advocate Duma Gideon Boko.

During our conversation with President Boko on Saturday, we shared insights into our Motse community programmes in the villages of Tsetsebjwe and Moletemane. We spoke about the impact of these initiatives—including the provision of school uniforms and reusable sanitary pads (more on that in next week’s blog)—as well as our employment of about 100 staff members from these local communities. We also discussed our conservation work, particularly efforts to protect rhinos, wild dogs, and other endangered species.

This engagement was a unique opportunity to connect with national leadership and may open the door to further dialogue and collaboration in the future. We look forward to the possibility of welcoming President Boko for a visit to see our work on the ground.
