The Sound Wildlife Fears Most

Jennifer has been a co-owner at Limpopo-Lipadi for 10 years, yet until recently she had never experienced the Reserve during green season. Arriving just after a long spell of wet weather, she saw the landscape at its most vibrant and productive. Here are her reflections:
“Despite being a co-owner for 10 years, we have never spent time at Limpopo Lipadi during green season. We recently changed that, visiting just after a long spell of wet weather. What a difference! Tall grasses covered the plains, and the bushes were thick with green leaves. Yes, it made finding animals more of a challenge, but the search is half of the fun. What we did find was full-bellied zebras, glossy coated impala, and healthy lions and leopards (not to mention all the babies!).
Our photos from this visit are vivid with color. Listening to the roaring Limpopo River from the lodge was soothing and regenerative. Oh, and the birds! We saw an amazing assortment of birds, both residents and migratory, in full color display. It turns out Botswana and Limpopo-Lipadi never disappoint.”
