Wild dog pups growing up so fast

By: Limpopo-Lipadi | Date: March 12, 2024 | Reserve

Our wild dog pups have by now reached the age of about 8-9 months and it becomes harder to tell them apart from the adult dogs. By now they go out on the hunt with the pack, although they are not fully primed for the kill, and they still largely depend on the rest of the pack to provide with food. It is hard work for the pack to keep up with the growing spurts of those pups and the pack needs to go out for hunting twice a day to keep all those hungry mouths satisfied. It will not be long before they will play their own part in keeping the pack well-fed and safe, but for now they can still goof around and wait for the calls of the pack that a meal is ‘served’ once again. In a couple of months, they will be seen hunting with the pack, to provide for the next generation of wild dog pups.
