Why Limpopo-Lipadi again and again?

A question we as co-owners get asked by friends at home (and we sometimes ponder on): why Limpopo-Lipadi again and again? A question that leads one to reflect and contemplate, like co-owner Martina put so well, read her thoughts here:
“What is the attraction of returning again and again to a relatively limited area in Africa? Apart from the people, the animal experience certainly plays a decisive role. You can of course have a favourite animal species and go search this species, or you can write a story in your mind about different animals in sequels (storytelling). When I look at my pictures from my last visit, I’m already thinking about how one or the other story will continue and I’m looking forward to the sequel on my next visit.
For example, next year May it will be interesting to see how the young animals of our herbivores have developed – will there be larger herds? This time the highlight was an eland herd with more than 10 animals. Or what established (new?) packs will our wild dogs form? The splitting up of the pack was going on during my last visit. With the lions, too, the question of who is with whom is always an exciting one – will cubs be able to be defended and raised by their mother? Will we have enough food for our animal population this year due to the drought and the low rainfall? And how will our tree and plant populations change due to the climatic changes?
The behaviour of animals and their ability to adapt to changing conditions over the years is an extraordinarily exciting undertaking and it is a pleasure to tell the continuation of the stories in a few months’ time.”
