Lions making a kill
By: Limpopo-Lipadi | Date: August 15, 2024 | Sightings
Nature’s stories unfold every day at Limpopo-LIpadi. Recently, two of our male lions took down a young giraffe, showcasing the raw reality of life in the wild. Co-owner Aletta and her friends were not far away when the lions were devouring their meal. Read her story here:
“The lions had spotted and successfully hunted a young giraffe. One lion then dragged the kill into the shade, ensuring they could eat in comfort. The other lion, content and full, rested nearby. As the day heated up, both lions found shade under a tree, resting after their meal.
This spectacle underscores the beauty and brutality of life in the wild. At Limpopo-Lipadi, we are privileged to witness these special moments, reminding us of the importance of preserving our pristine environments. This time we were witnesses of the daily life of our lions and the balance they maintain in their natural habitat.
