And just like that… Our chapter at Limpopo-Lipadi comes to an end

Meet Dana and Rosa — two graduate students from Hotelschool The Hague, who spent the past 3 months doing their final internship at Limpopo-Lipadi. In their own words, they reflect on what has been a transformative experience in the heart of the Botswana bush.

“When we, Dana and Rosa, arrived at Limpopo-Lipadi, a new adventure began. It was our first time in Africa, and our first time working in such a remote location. But from the moment we got there, we embraced the challenge with open arms.

Over the past few months, we worked on a variety of projects aimed at improving guest service systems. These tasks allowed us to contribute meaningfully to the company while gaining valuable hands-on experience.

We learned how to collaborate with people from a different culture, how to apply our studies in a real-world setting, and how to adapt quickly in an entirely new environment. We even had the unique opportunity to participate in conservation efforts — from witnessing the dehorning of rhinos to assisting with the capture and relocation of wild dogs. Each of these moments taught us something new and pushed us beyond our comfort zones in the best way.

This internship challenged us in all the right ways. It allowed us to try new things, grow through experience, and build lasting skills we’ll carry with us into the next stage of our journey.

Looking back, we’re proud of everything we’ve been part of. Now, as this chapter comes to an end, it’s time to take a break and spend some time with our families in South Africa.

Thank you, Limpopo-Lipadi, for an unforgettable experience. Until next time!”
