MOTSE Steps Up for Health, Education & Local Livelihoods

A few months ago, MOTSE was asked to inspect the mobile maternity unit at the Tsetsebjwe clinic, where local women receive pregnancy check-ups from trained nurses. The unit was in alarming condition — with large holes in the floor and walls, creating serious risks for both patients and staff.
After exploring repair options, it became clear the structure was beyond saving. MOTSE stepped in to fully fund a brand-new mobile office: 6 x 3 metres, with two rooms and air conditioning for both heating and cooling. The new unit was delivered to Tsetsebjwe late June and is already making a difference — providing a safe and comfortable space for maternal care.
MOTSE’s work didn’t stop there. Begin July, more than 150 school uniforms were handed out to the most vulnerable children at both Tsetsebjwe and Moletemane Junior and Primary Schools. All uniforms were produced by local seamstresses — supporting not only education, but also income for women in the community. Over the past three years, MOTSE has donated over 700 school uniforms.
And in Moletemane, MOTSE also funded the construction of a new waiting shelter at the local clinic — offering patients much-needed shade and protection while they wait for care.
These are small but meaningful steps toward improving daily life in the communities closest to Limpopo-Lipadi — supporting health, education, and local livelihoods.
