After some good rains in the past months, the reserve looks in mint condition: the grass stands tall, the Limpopo river flows strongly, the trees are full of new leaves. Which makes the living of plain’s animals a lot easier. Enough food, shade and places to find shelter.
Excellent times to ‘drop’ calves and foals and – simply – babies. January really was the month of plenty: impala, wildebeest, zebra, several elephant calves, giraffe, you name it.
