As you drive around the Reserve during this time of the year, you slowly see the first green leaves appear on those magnificent trees and shortly thereafter the green buds, which will open as soon as the first rains are expected. When the white flowers appear, you know that you’d better pack yourself a poncho, as they herald the much anticipated and welcomed rains. Or pula as we say in Setswana.
