To ease the yearning for our beloved Limpopo-Lipadi and all of its creatures, shareholder Paul Freund took the time to document the story of the reserve’s prominent alpha-female wild dog, TwoSpots. The book chronicles her life as a youngster growing up in the boma, to her release into the wild in 2010, and the subsequent years leading up to her disappearance in 2019. Many important aspects in the life of this formidable wild dog are covered, including her bonding with a partner, forming and leading a pack, and hunting and raising puppies. In a changing environment, her life went through many highs and lows, giving a fascinating insight into the behaviour of this highly threatened species. A true tribute to the ‘mother’ of our wild dog population.
