Wild dogs are the favourites of many people around Limpopo-Lipadi. With their social habits, family bonds and their incredible hunting skills they are extraordinary to observe in their behaviour.
While gravely endangered in all of Africa we are proud to have a healthy population and we do a lot of research on them.
Gabriella, our veterinarian, is currently conducting research on the wild dogs and had some difficulties finding them this week.
She, with the help of vet Mark, intended to put new transmission collars on two dogs of different packs. After four days of tracking the dogs through the bush, they finally managed to put a new collar on one of the dogs. To be continued later this year.
