Shareholder Clive shares his story of a special encounter during a sundowner drive: “Although we like to be guided for our morning drives, Jill and I prefer to self-drive in the evening, often going no further than Tholo Dam where we can sit and wait—with a sundowner of course —to see what comes along. The bird activity is always good and we’ve had many animal sightings, but on two occasions during our last visit, a beautiful brown hyena wandered down at about 17:30 for his bath.
Having soaked up the setting sun he thoroughly immersed and scrubbed himself before setting off again with a wickedly bad hairdo and proudly displaying his terrific socks!”
