Shareholder Malcolm and his family made their way to our beloved reserve for a trip that way too short, especially since it had been so long since they were allowed into Botswana. Despite their relatively easy crossing into Botswana, it turned out, crossing borders again wasn’t as breezy due to restrictions in place. Read all about their experience:
“The five days passed so fast that we felt we had hardly arrived before we had to depart again. Unfortunately, departing was not as straight forward as usual as we had to go into Selebi Phikwe to get a COVID test, but we approached the whole expedition as an additional adventure. We were planning to leave on Tuesday morning, which is why we made an appointment at the private clinic for 13:00 on Sunday. It all went as planned and they were good enough to email the results to us as promised on Monday afternoon. Becky in the office pointed out the “negative” reports and we were all ready to go. I must admit that I would not have been unhappy if we had to stay a couple of extra weeks☹️. The border crossing was not too bad, although the number of trucks was incredible and caused some congestion getting across the Martin’s Drift bridge, it was all incredibly well worth it.”
