Motse recently funded the building of 2 new assembly structures at the Tsetsebjwe Junior Secondary School and the Moletemane Primary School near Limpopo-Lipadi Game Reserve. Previously, the children stood between lines of bricks in both boiling sun and torrential rain, so these large, covered areas were a huge priority for the schools. As you can see, they were needed not only as assembly areas but are being used as additional teaching spaces. This is because the schools are overcrowded and some function with two sittings, because the classrooms can’t accommodate all the students at the same time during the day.
Approximately 2,200 schoolchildren live in the two villages of Tsetsebjwe and Moletemane, and they attend three primary and one secondary school. The Motse Committee is made up of representatives from the villages of Tsetsebjwe and Moletemane as well as shareholders from Limpopo-Lipadi Game Reserve. The committee raises funds to complete community outreach projects in the two villages, focusing mostly on education and healthcare projects. The word Motse means community or town in Setswana and is also made up of the first letters of the names of the two villages.
