Kudu is abundant at Limpopo-Lipadi but notoriously hard to spot, as they are always on high alert and very quick to detect danger with their large radar-like ears. This beautiful kudu bull thought he was undetected and – although alert –took his time to come down to the water for drinks. Neither was he in a hurry to get away when he had his fill. Against the backlight, he showed his enormous spiralled horns, two-and-a-halve or even three twists, regal and magnificent.
