Hippos are living the life with the Limpopo River still flowing strong. The river will drop further in the coming weeks and with the receding water, the hippos will need to find other refuge somewhere downstream.
For now, it’s a treat to drive down to Harry’s Camp on the river and watch the heads of the hippos pop up and under, and see them yawn and show off their incredible set of teeth. Not sure how impressed the other hippos were, but we definitely were.
