In our anti-poaching efforts to keep our wild animals out of harms’ way, we have our canine unit (K9) constantly at work around the Reserve and in the surroundings.

These dogs have amazing abilities: they can detect intruders’ tracks without relying on any visual clue, even if a track is old and regardless whether the potential intruders were wearing shoes or not, or transporting whatever kind of contraband. Our sniffer dogs can detect and follow old tracks for miles both at day and night. They are working in consecutive shifts, not only in tracking but also as our great security support in checking vehicles that come through the Reserve. This strong level of security is one of many initiatives we have in place to keep our animals safe from any harm.
